SSL Certificate

Purchasing this service will mean that areas dedicated to entering customer (confidential) information into your shop will be protected via 128 bit encryption. This includes the following pages:

  • Shop Front - Login / Registration
  • Shop Front - Billing and Delivery Address
  • Shop Front - Basket Confirmation
  • Shop Front - Payment Confirmation
  • Shop Front - 'My Account' Details
  • Admin Area - Login 

The SSL protocol allows client / server applications to communicate across a network in a way designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, and message forgery. SSL provides endpoint authentication and communications confidentiality over the Internet using cryptography.

Note: To buy this service, you must have your own shop domain (e.g. 'www.myshopname.co.uk') as opposed to using the temporary domain given (e.g. myshopname.netdirector.co.uk) when your shop is first created.

Note: Price is for one years license only. You will be required to re-purchase your SSL license every year to obtain the same levels of protection.

The 'SSL Certificate' includes:

  • SSL Certificate from well regarded SSL provider (Comodo)
  • Implementation of certificate into your Tiger Commerce shop (pages protected listed above)
  • All support free of charge
  • 3-5 day turnaround

If you are the domain registrant, you will be required to complete a domain authorisation form (and fax it to Comodo), granting permission for Tiger Commerce to obtain the SSL certificate on your behalf.
 
Once this form has been received by Comodo they will be able to complete the application for the SSL certificate. This therefore may increase the amount of time that it takes to process the certificate.

Note: As standard, this service does not include the Authentic Trust Logo from Comodo.
